Appointments

Please let staff know if it is an emergency and you will always be given priority, or we will recommend you go straight to the hospital or call an ambulance.

Longer consultations are available: please advise the reception staff if you require extra time. Walk-ins are offered appointments subject to availability and urgency as assessed by our triage protocols.


Home Visits

Home visits are available for regular patients whose conditions prevent them from attending the surgery. Please note that a prior arrangement is required for this.


Fees and Billing Arrangements

We are a Bulk Billing Practice. Patients without a Medicare Card will be charged a practice fee that is payable at the time of consultation. (Please note; we do not have eftpos facilities)


Communication / Telephone Policy

If you call and wish to speak with a Doctor/Nurse, reception will take your details and the doctor/nurse will return your call. We will only interrupt a consultation if the situation is urgent.

For privacy reasons, we do not provide clinical advice, book appointments or send patient information via email. Our email is only checked periodically, so for any other urgent matters it is best to call us for prompt attention.


Test Results

If you have been referred for a test, please ensure you contact us for the result within a week, or the timeframe that your doctor has advised. Results will not be provided over the telephone and patients should make an appointment to discuss results and any required treatment with their doctor.


Reminder system

Our practice is committed to preventative healthcare. You have the option of registering to receive healthcare reminders that are appropriate to your care. You are free to opt out at any time by informing your doctor or our nurse.

Appointment Reminder 

To receive a reminder about your appointment, ensure your contact details are up to date with us. SMS reminder would be sent the day before your appointment via our automated communication system. Reply "YES" or "NO" only. 

SMS Reminder Non-Attendance

Your time is valuable and so is ours. If you do not notify our practice 2 hours prior to your appointment cancellation and subsequently fail to attend your scheduled appointment, a standard consult fee $41.40 will apply, and no rebate will be applicable. 

Further appointments will be UNABLE  to be made until any fees on the account are paid in full.

Patient Rights

All patients have the right, and are encouraged, to participate in decisions about their healthcare. Please ask questions about your healthcare and address your concerns in your appointment. For privacy reasons, we do not offer advice or address clinical concerns via email or over the phone.


Referrals/Engaging with Other Services

Our practice regularly engages with local health services, such as specialists, allied health and hospitals. If required, your GP will provide sufficient information (a referral letter) to plan and facilitate optimal patient care.


Patient Feedback

Please leave a comment in our suggestion box if you have a suggestion. If you are unhappy with the service you have received, please speak to your doctor about it or write a complaint to the practice manager about your concerns.

However, if you feel that your concern needs to be taken further you can contact the Office of Health Ombudsman on 133 OHO (133 646).

We are a bulk billing practice to all eligible patients.

Services not bulk billed includes : Medicals, Insurance, Driving Licence, Sporting Medical , Pre-Employment, Cadet Medicals, Commercial + Dangerous Goods License & Truck Safe License (cash payment required on the day)

Private Patient Fees

Pre-Employment = $165.00

Cadet Medicals = $150.00

Sporting Medicals = $150.00

Commercial Licence Medical =$150.00

Truck safe Medicals = $220.00

Implanon Insertion or Removal =$120.00

Implanon Insertion and Removal =$180.00

ALL THE ABOVE FEES ARE GST INCLUSIVE

For Non-Medicare Card Holders

Level B = $80.00 After Hours Level B = $90.00

Level C = $140.00 After Hours Level C = $130.00

Level D = $220.00 After Hours Level D = $170.00

Cancellation Policy

If you must cancel your appointment, we respectfully request at least a 2hour notice prior to your scheduled appointment time.

We reserve the right to charge a fee for missed or cancelled appointments without prior notice except in rare circumstances. Cancellation fee must be paid in full prior to further appointments being booked.
